Google Drive connection – Privacy policy

Access, data use, local storage and revocation for the Personal OS – Google Drive integration.

Last updated:

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Personal OS – Google Drive rclone connection running locally for personal use. The integration manages, copies and synchronises the user’s own documents and data files. It is not a service offering public registration.

The integration’s operator and privacy contact is Gábor Nagy, nagy.gabor@limitlesslogic.hu. Its information and privacy pages are hosted on the Limitless Logic Kft. website.

2. Data and permissions

The connection uses the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive permission. Except for the application data folder, this grants full access to Drive files accessible to the Google account, including reading, creating, modifying and deleting them. Selecting a folder in a local command does not by itself narrow the permission granted by Google.

Depending on the operation, the integration processes:

  • File and folder names, identifiers, types, sizes, timestamps and other metadata needed for the operation.
  • Contents of files downloaded, uploaded, copied or synchronised, including exported copies of Google documents.
  • Access and refresh tokens issued by Google.
  • Depending on local logging settings, operation details, file names, paths, timestamps and error messages.

The integration does not request or store the Google account password.

3. Use of data

Access is used to perform local file operations and Personal OS imports initiated or configured by the user. Files may also be overwritten or deleted when the selected command or synchronisation settings require it.

The integration does not sell data obtained through Google Drive or use it for advertising or training general-purpose AI models. It does not send files to advertising or analytics services. Further use of downloaded data by another application is a separate workflow and data-processing decision.

4. Storage and protection

Original files remain in Google Drive unless an executed operation modifies or deletes them. Downloaded copies and imported data are stored in locally configured directories and data stores. Tokens are stored in the local rclone configuration; log storage depends on local logging settings.

Access to local files, tokens and logs is governed by operating-system permissions. The connection communicates with Google over HTTPS. Encryption of data at rest depends on the local environment’s configuration.

5. Transfers and the public website

During Drive file operations, data moves between Google’s services and the user’s local environment. Google’s own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

The integration does not send Drive file contents or OAuth tokens to the public Limitless Logic website or its hosting provider. These information pages do not initiate Google sign-in or connect to the Drive API.

When the pages are visited, the hosting provider may process technical data such as IP addresses and request information for delivery and security. The website’s current hosting provider is Vercel. The website may store the theme preference in the browser’s local storage. This policy covers the Drive integration; it does not replace privacy information for other website features such as the contact form.

6. Retention and deletion

Deletion of local copies and imported data is managed by the user and locally configured workflows; the integration does not define a uniform retention period. Log retention follows the local environment’s logging and deletion settings. Copies included in any local backups must also be managed separately.

Tokens may remain in the local configuration until removed or replaced. Revoking a token at Google makes it unusable but does not necessarily erase its locally stored copy.

7. Revoking access

  1. Open Google Account connections, select Personal OS – Google Drive and remove its access.
  2. Stop the related local automations and remove the connection and tokens from the rclone configuration when no longer needed.
  3. Separately delete previously downloaded files, imported data, logs and any backup copies that you no longer wish to keep.

Revocation prevents further API access. It does not automatically delete the original files in Google Drive or local copies. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to the contact above.

8. Limited Use of Google API data

Personal OS – Google Drive uses information received from Google APIs, including any transfer of that information, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes to the purpose of access or to data handling require this policy to be updated. The date of the current version appears at the top of this page.
